Join this fun and creative class to learn a new and colorful technique. Watercolor Batik on rice paper is a painting technique using watercolors to create art on rice paper, with melted paraffin wax used as a resist. If all that sounds unfamiliar, not to worry!
We’ll use a sketch of tulips prepared for you to trace onto rice paper. I’ll guide you through the usage and control of watercolor on this thin absorbent paper, waxing, and ironing to finish! You’ll leave with a finished 11x14 or 8x10 painting ready to frame and enjoy.
All materials are supplied.
This is a beginner’s class for adults – no experience or “talent” required!
