Patterns & Texture & Shapes, Oh my!

This is a mixed media workshop exploring with paint, ink and collage using simple shapes, textures

and patterns. You will create several pieces and turn them into framed or functional art. This is your

adventure on paper!

Beginners welcome – You will learn some basics along with some creative guidelines, then play and

freely create. Templates and ideas are provided or you can explore your own ideas. I guarantee that

you will have lots of fun and surprise yourself with your creativity and enjoyment.

All materials and tools are supplied, however you are welcome to bring your favorite paper cutting

scissors and/or brushes. Be sure to bring an apron to wear as we will be playing with paint.

This is more than a class; it is a chance to connect with the local creative community and surprise

yourself with what you can create when given the right tools and guidance.

Artist Bio:

Susan earned a degree in art from Laney College and has also studied art at Santa Monica College,

UCLA, Ball State University and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts as well as various workshops.

Her work has been shown in juried exhibitions and galleries in California, Indiana and Tennessee. She

enjoys being an active member of the creative community in Townsend and East Tennessee.
